Mike Tyson Was Attacked By Spectators While Shopping

According to TMZ’s report, after the fight concluded, Tyson left the arena and saw a group of fans waiting to get his autograph. The 54-year-old legend decided to approach and celebrate with them.

Among the crowd was a man shouting, “Why won’t Tyson let me fight him?” The “Iron Mike” responded jokingly that there would be no happy ending if he were to fight the man.Shortly after, a person in the crowd threw punches at Tyson. This individual reached for his waistband as if trying to pull out a weapon. Tyson’s team quickly intervened but failed to restrain and apprehend the attacker. Police were alerted and arrived at the scene at 11 p.m. Although Tyson’s team recognized the assailant, they could not apprehend him as he fled the scene.The match between Tyson and Jones Jr ended in a draw after 8 rounds. The showdown was considered a success beyond expectations, drawing 1.2 million online viewers.

After the match, “Iron Mike” also affirmed that he would continue to step into the ring for exhibition matches. He does not rule out the possibility of a rematch with Jones Jr. Additionally, Evander Holyfield is still training and waiting for the right time to make his comeback. The 58-year-old former boxer is likely to square off against Tyson for the third time.
