Jungkook Purchases $5.83M House, Plans to Build Mansion in Itaewon Hill

BTS member Jungkook has been making headlines after reports surfaced that he is building a five-story mansion in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Seoul, Itaewon Hill. He purchased a house worth ₩7.63 billion KRW ($5.83 million USD) in December 2020, which was entirely demolished in December 2022 to build the new mansion. The new design, created by construction company Saram Joongsim, includes two basement floors and three ground floors with a total floor area of 1161.04 sq. meters (351 pyeong).

The construction of Jungkook’s new luxurious mansion is expected to be completed by May of next year, and he will become a neighbor to high-profile individuals such as SK Group Chairman Choi Tae Won, Shinsegae Group Chairman Lee Myung Hee, Nongshim Group Chairman Shin Dong Won, and DB Group founder Kim Joon Ki. This move reflects Jungkook’s success and status as one of the most successful and influential idols in the K-pop industry.

 

Jungkook’s investment in real estate also follows in the footsteps of other Korean celebrities.
