A government-run hospital in Hassan, the southern state of Kernataka, welcomed Nandini, a 19-year-old mother from Kernataka, on Monday evening. She underwent a c-section to give birth to a daughter.
The infant was born weighing 15 pounds (6.8 kg), which is double the typical birth weight.

Dr Venka tesh Raju, a local health worker, said: “I have been a nurse for 25 years, and I have never seen a ʙᴀʙʏ this huge. She is amazing. In my opinion, she might not only be the heaviest ʙᴀʙʏ ever born in Iɴᴅɪᴀ but also the heaviest ʙᴀʙʏ girl ever born globally.
Everyone, including the nameless ʙᴀʙʏ’s mother and doctors, was in ᴀᴡᴇ of the ʙᴀʙʏ’s enormous size.

Nandini, who is 94 kg and 5.99 tall, had a straightforward pregnancy but was unaware that she was going to have a large child.Doctors insist the mother does not have diabetes, which frequently results in obesity in Nᴇᴡʙᴏʀɴꜱ, despite the mother’s size suggesting high sugar levels.
Before being released from the hospital in a few days, the ʙᴀʙʏ is being kept in the neonatal intensive care unit where physicians are keeping an eye on his development.

The ʙᴀʙʏ’s gynecologist, Dr. Poornima ᴍᴀɴu, said: “For all of us, her arrival came as a big sᴜʀᴘʀɪsᴇ.” There were no hazards, and the procedure was completed in approximately 30 minutes. She is quite beautiful and large.
She breathes well and doesn’t have any health issues like abnormal thyroid or ʙʟᴏᴏᴅ sugar levels. At first, we were concerned about her ʙʟᴏᴏᴅ sugar levels, but that’s typical. The mother underwent routine checkups at the hospital and never showed any symptoms of thyroid or gestational diabetes.

The mother and the child are both doing well, and we will let you go once we are sure the child is healthy.
Arun and Nandini, who have been married for two years, are eagerly anticipating the birth of their first child. Mom and dad are thrilled to have her here and are eagerly counting down the days until they can bring her home.v
