The Foundation and History

It’s the Wow collection of almost 200 cars of his dreams and become a major attraction for tourist in Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan is the fourth son of the founder of UAE, the late president Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the younger brother of present UAE president Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He did his Bachelor degree from UAE University on Political science & Business Administration.

It takes one hour to cross approximately 45 km towards south of Abu Dhabi city in a way to Liwa Oasis to reach this Pyramid shaped architectural edifice which is all about the fascinating collection of Sheikh Hamad wheelers and some of his compilation also been featured in BBC television series Top Gear.

 Visiting Hours

It opens every day from 9 am to 6 pm for tourist to see the fascinating collection of World’s largest truck, Mercedes Rainbow collection, Classic American Cars and also an enormous collection of off-road automobiles.

Things to see in the museum

• Each and every car of his collection has been appreciated by many. The collection houses a huge display of cars and another automobile; some apparently bought from proprietor there and then, such as a customized camper van, others acknowledged as a gift from all around the world. While some have been kept as initially planned, others have been personalized to suit the Sheikh’s liking. Visitor’s find several Mercedes, one in each color of the rainbow for each day of the w And they are all built-in with amenities such as refrigerators and TV.

• A number of other cars are also rainbow colored or have a rainbow logo tinted on them and have identical seats and hubcaps. There are lots of military automobiles into which kids are permitted to mount; one has a golfing array on top. The Dodge comes in all sizes but none is as exciting as the 5-metre-high model with a whole residence under its roof. 8 times oversized replica of a Dodge truck, this is a towable caravan and has four bedrooms inside.

• The collection also includes 4×4 Lamborghini, a world globed-shaped caravan with the facility of a house, 7 Mercedes 500 SELs, Military vehicle like tanks, New York yellow taxi cab, an NYPD car and also a Red Cross vehicle. The museum also has 10 prototypes, racing cars, 1950’s American & 1970’s European limousines. The collection also has a Guinness record holder outsized model of a Willy Jeep.

Workshop

The museum has its own workshop, positioned at the back of the building. All the displayed items are in outstanding order and road going also. There are so many loopholes in the exhibit. Most of the cars have no information poster and also have no history or origin about the vehicles.

Entry Fee

• Entry fee is 50 AED. Free for child below 10.
• The museum also listed in the Abu Dhabi’s official tourism list. Is also been observed in the BBC’s motor world program in past.
