The owner, Adriapo Bertolipe, who is currently employed, launched a broad appeal for help with veterinary expenses. Fortunately, local councilor Dr. José Roberto Apolari came to the rescue, took Thor to a clinic and helped him with the expenses. This is not the first time the three-year-old has suffered a break from a porcupine, having suffered similar injuries last year. According to Adriapus, this is the second time Thor has gotten into a fight with a porcupine in a year. In February 2021, his friend who worked at a private veterinarian helped the injured dog. Dr. Apolari’s support was crucial to Thor’s recovery, as Adriapus is currently employed and has children to feed.
