Lost Chronicles: The Unearthed Secret Room in Pharaoh Tutankhamun’s Tomb.

Thanks to the support of the most modern technology, archaeologists are now almost certain that there is a secret room behind the walls in the tomb of pharaoh Tutankhamun.

The question is whether this room can decode one of the biggest mysteries in Egyptology?

According to history.com, in July British archaeologist Nicholas Reeves made a statement that shocked the archaeological world when he said that pharaoh Tutankhamun may not rest alone in his burial chamber.

After months of poring over super-high-resolution photos of Tutankhamun’s tomb, Mr. Reeves believes there are two secret doors hiding another room that could be the resting place of Queen Nefertiti – King Akhenaten’s wife. , Tutankhamun’s biological father.

Current evidence suggests that Mr. Reeves’ hypothesis may be correct. In early November, researchers used infrared thermography to scan King Tutankhamun’s burial chamber. The photos show that there are temperature differences behind the north walls of the room.

Last weekend, Egyptian officials also announced results from radar scanning of King Tutankhamun’s entire tomb and confirmed the presence of an empty space behind the walls.

The Independent newspaper quoted Egyptian officials as saying they were “90% certain” there was a secret room inside King Tutankhamun’s tomb. This is most likely the resting place of Queen Nefertiti.

Archaeologist Reeves believes that the tomb was originally built for Queen Nefertiti. However, because King Tutankhamun died at the age of 19 after nine years of reign, the priests had to open the tomb for the queen because Tutankhamun’s tomb had not yet been completed.

Currently, archaeologist Reeves believes that the “secret room” is the burial place of Queen Nefertiti, but Egyptian Minister of Archeology Mamduh al-Damati thinks it is the burial place of King Akhenaten’s second wife Kiya.

Independent newspaper said the scanned images were sent to Japan to conduct more in-depth analysis. Final results could be announced within the next month.

If there is indeed a “secret room”, the next challenge archaeologists must face is to find a way to enter the room, which has not been opened for nearly 3,500 years, without causing damage to the tomb. as well as the artifacts inside.

However, Reuters quoted Mr. al-Damati as saying that archaeologists could open a way inside the room within three months.
