Beautiful Images of Women in Labor Reveal the Realities of Childbirth

Birth happens in all kinds of places and in all kinds of ways. Sometimes the transition from active labor to pushing happens so quickly that you don’t have time to remove your underwear.

Erin Beth: “My client had just used the bathroom while the birthing team was sitting on the couch in the living room. Mom came in, stood by the fireplace, had a contraction, and yelled “catch my baby!” The midwives ZOOM across the floor just in time to bring the baby to the floor, through the leg hole in the underwear.”

When most people hear the phrase “birth is unpredictable”, they don’t usually think of this, but this is birth, in all its glory.
