The 49-year-old actor said Paul Walker’s legacy still “lives in every frame” of “Fast & Furious 8”

According to Variety , he sobbed and covered his eyes with his hands as he remembered Paul Walker – his late co-star in the Fast & Furious film series . The 49-year-old actor expressed: “Paul Walker himself promised there would be an eighth part. I kept thinking about this idea.”

According to Entertainment Weekly , Diesel cried while sharing: “I always feel like he’s still watching over us. We don’t want to disappoint him. Part of Paul’s legacy still lives in every frame of The Fate of the Furious . Audiences will be reminded of an angel, who was an integral part of the theme of brotherhood in previous films.”
In addition to Vin Diesel, actor Tyrese Gibson (who plays a supporting role in the Fast & Furious series ) also said: “Everything we do with the new film project is all in memory of Paul Walker.”

Paul Walker died in a car accident in 2013 at the age of 40. At that time, the actor had not yet finished filming the seventh installment of Fast & Furious . Some of his images in season seven were recreated using special effects and stunt actors – including his two younger brothers. In season eight, the writers retired Walker’s character.
The Fate of the Furious is the sequel to Furious 7 – the 2015 blockbuster that grossed more than 1.5 billion USD globally. It is expected that episode eight will open a new Fast & Furious trilogy and the series will stop at episode 10.

Filming of season eight spanned three countries – Cuba, Iceland and the US. The Fate of the Furious is co-produced by Vin Diesel with Neal H. Moritz and Michael Fottrell. Screenwriter Chris Morgan, who wrote the script for the entire Fast & Furious series , continues to pen the eighth installment. The film is scheduled to be released on April 14.
