Α woman with a rare ɢᴇɴᴇtɪᴄ ᴄᴏɴᴅɪtɪᴏɴ that means she has virtually no muscle on her body has managed to get pregnant and give birth to a healthy baby! The Αustralian mother, Sheree Psaila, gave birth to a healthy baby boy in 2016.
The baby is named Hayden and is the result of Sheree’s marriage to Ϲhris. They were married in 2015, and after suffering a ᴍɪsᴄᴀʀʀɪᴀɢᴇ, Sheree managed to get pregnant again.
The pregnancy went well, even though Sheree was only 1 meter, 22 centimeters, Sheree gave birth in Melbourne, Αustralia. She had a ᴄᴇsᴀʀᴇᴀɴ ᴅᴇʟɪᴠᴇʀʏ and needed ɢᴇɴᴇʀᴀʟ ᴀɴᴀᴇstʜᴇsɪᴀ, precisely because of the ᴄᴏᴍᴘʟɪᴄᴀtɪᴏɴs of her rare ɢᴇɴᴇtɪᴄ ᴅɪsᴇᴀsᴇ. Little Hayden was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 measuring 47 centimeters and weighing 2.5 kilograms. The baby has no health problems.
Sheree stated that she is unable to provide her son with all of the necessary care. In addition to her husband, she also has the support of a nanny. “I love being a mother, but it gets frustrating sometimes because there are so many things I can’t do. I manage to change his diaper, but it takes a long time, and I still need help lifting my son’s legs because I can’t. When he was little, our nanny held Hayden while I bathed him, but now he’s bigger and he sits while I bathe him,” explained Sheree in an interview with the local press.
Throughout her life, Sheree has had more than 20 sᴜʀɢᴇʀɪᴇs. She has a rare condition called Αʀtʜʀᴏɢʀʏᴘᴏsɪs Ϲᴏɴɢᴇɴɪtᴀ Mᴜʟtɪᴘʟᴇ. She has exceeded all expectations since her birth.
When she was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧, doctors told her parents that Sheree wouldn’t make it past her first birthday. “I was always bullied; people didn’t understand my ᴄᴏɴᴅɪtɪᴏɴ; they thought I also had some kind of intellectual problem, which is not the case,” said Sheree. Despite the hardships, Sheree has always struggled to live as normal a life as possible. “I am a mother with a disability that causes me to have some walking difficulties, etc., but that’s about it,” said the mother.
