“Vin and I have been like brothers for years…” assures The Rock, who is now working on a spin-off film around Hobbs.
Perhaps the not-quite-expected flop of Black Adam made him reconsider his position… Dwayne Johnson is no longer at war with Vin Diesel . After months of falling out via social networks, mockery and contempt, the two best enemies of Fast & Furious have mended their ways.
The Rock posted a short video on his Twitter account yesterday, solemnly announcing it in a press release:
“Last summer, Vin and I put all the past behind us. We will now lead the franchise with brotherhood and determination – and will always care for it, the characters and the fans we love. Despite our differences, Vin and I have been like brothers for years… We lead by thinking about the future, about these plans which are much bigger than us…”
If Dwayne Johnson is giving this speech of appeasement, it is also because he is returning to the fold of Fast & Furious . While his cameo in Fast In the same Twitter video, Johnson announces that he will star in an as-yet-untitled Fast & Furious spin-off set during the events of Fast X. Moreover, Agent Luke Hobbs will face Jason Momoa , aka Dante, who is already the big bad of Fast X.
The new film starring Dwayne Johnson will be written and produced by Chris Morgan. We don’t yet know who will direct.
