Against all chances, a family was able to welcome ᴛᴡɪɴꜱ for the third time. To the sᴜʀᴘʀɪsᴇ of their parents Derek and Ashley Wʜɪᴛton, both 30 years old, Ethan and Eilidh were born last Wednesday. Brogan and Robyn, Wʜɪᴛton’s twin sisters, are both 21 years old and are from Dundee, Scotland. Three generations in total were represented by her mother, 52-year-old Jacquelie Glennie, who also had a twin sister named Elizabeth McKenzie.
Mrs Wʜɪᴛton admitted she was sᴜʀᴘʀɪsᴇd to learn she was also expecting ᴛᴡɪɴꜱ but that it had been “predicted” to happen. Just two years before, a psychic had predicted that she would give birth to her own two gorgeous children, following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother.
We were sʜᴏᴄᴋed to learn that a family had three generations; if you had told me this a year earlier, I never would have believed you. Since I don’t really believe in all that psychic stuff, when a psychic told me that I would have ᴛᴡɪɴꜱ two years ago before I was Pʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ, I was like, “Uh yeah, OK.”
When I did become Pʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ, my doctor had me have an early scan because I had very severe morning sɪᴄᴋness at seven weeks. I initially learned I was Pʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ with ᴛᴡɪɴꜱ when they discovered two heartbeats during a screening. The psychic had been right all along, and it made us all laugh a lot.
Wʜɪᴛton immediately went to her mother’s home after the scan to break the news to her. She couldn’t believe it. When they heard the news, everyone laughed, but my grandmother genuinely started to cry. Eilidh, who was born weighing 6 lbs. 10 oz., and Ethan, who was born weighing 5 lbs., were both born in the Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
It will undoubtedly cause ᴍᴀɴy changes in our lives since we already had to trade in our Fiat Punto for a Nissan Note in order to have more room. My mother has been excellent, though, and my two sisters are doing a fantastic job as aunts. To be quite honest, the ᴛᴡɪɴꜱ’ current acting and routine are fantastic. The support has been excellent because everyone has been taking an Exᴛʀᴇᴍᴇʟʏ active role. The family’s large number of ᴛᴡɪɴꜱ may be a contributing factor.
